Meet Jhyll, owner of Organic by Glitter Friends. Jhyll's entrepreneurial journey started with exploring natural ways to treat Eczema, and expanded into a range of all-natural, organic lifestyle products.


Jhyll has always been passionate about health, wellness, and spreading positivity—and at 68 years old, she's built a global community of over 755,000 followers who share her passion. Since opening a TikTok Business Account, her store has seen an uptick in both local and international sales.

✨ The TikTok community loves to keep it real

After watching hundreds of hours of TikTok videos, Jhyll noticed that being authentic was the key to a successful account. She once posted a video about fresh cucumber and hedgehogs—and other TikTok users loved it so much that they used the original sound to create dozens of new videos in response. Your posts don’t need to be polished and professional, just have fun and post some funny and wacky stuff and make peace with the unstable performance.

Jhyll loves to learn on TikTok. From watching videos about yoga to wellness to business tips, she learns new things here every day—and also takes inspiration for her own videos. She also turns to the in-app Business Creative Hub for guidance and inspiration on posting content. Her followers often leave comments asking questions about her products or her advice; Jhyll says engaging and responding to those comments is another great way to learn new things and build connections with her audience.

Jhyll regards TikTok as having the most highly-engaged community among all of her social platforms, so she values her audience's experience and attaches great importance to collecting feedback from her followers.

She says that a viral video is all about finding the right topics for the right demographics: put yourself in your followers' shoes and think about what they want to know. She posts at times of day when her followers are most likely to be active online, and by making her content relatable to her audience, she receives many comments and questions. After posting, she responds to as many comments as possible. Sometimes she needs to respond again in the evening, to keep up with followers in different time zones. Jhyll says regularly responding and interacting with your audience is the key to success: "They’ll engage, share your content, and more importantly, become your customers."

Jhyll's company, Organic by Glitter Friends, sells organic lifestyle products for all ages. She's passionate about holistic wellness and brings this passion to her TikTok videos, sharing wisdom and tips on how to live a happy, healthy lifestyle.
