The Objective

Ramping up conversions and increasing sales with audience targeting

healthxcel was founded by Rima Deu, a pharmacist with over 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry. It was born of a desire to help and empower people to live healthier lives. Through years of seeing patients and helping treat them, she knew the vital importance of health education working in tandem with medical treatment. 


The healthxcel ethos is prevention is better than cure, so they started creating health supplements. These are 100% natural, certified organic and vegan. Alongside creating health supplements they’re active on social media, using it to educate and highlight the importance of safeguarding health and well-being to people the world over.


They were using their TikTok account to provide healthy recipes, give advice on how to lead a healthy lifestyle, and let people see behind the scenes of the business. Reaching a sizeable following, they’d advertised on TikTok before. Using a trial-and-error approach results which had shown varied results.


The Solution

Using Spark Ads and Custom Audiences to increase reach

Seeing untapped potential, healthxcel decided to adopt a more strategic approach for this campaign. The first step was defining clear objectives, in this case, ramping up conversions and increasing sales. They realised they needed to increase their reach and better target their ads. Key to their approach was using Automatic Targeting and Custom Audiences targeting anyone over 25 in the UK.


Automatic Targeting enables a more hands-off ad creation and campaign optimisation process. After applying Automatic Targeting, the function optimises targeting settings according to the advertising objectives, ad delivery, ad content, past campaign data, and more.


Custom Audiences is a TikTok ad targeting option that lets you find people who already know or have engaged with your business. It’s a powerful tool for re-marketing, reaching possible repeat customers, increasing your following and increasing app engagement, or creating lookalike audiences.


Using these two tools helped healthxcel understand and narrow down exactly who was engaging with their ads.  User interaction with their ads let them see who was buying their products as each ad linked through to the healthxcel website on WooCommerce.


Using Spark Ads made it really easy for healthxcel to run their ads. Spark Ads let them create In-Feed Ads using their own organic posts and using posts from real TikTok accounts. This ensured all views, comments, shares, likes, and follows gained from boosting campaign creative got attributed to the organic posts. Perfect for enabling healthxcel to reach a larger audience.



The Results

Reaching new audiences and boosting conversions with Spark Ads

At time of publication, the campaign has seen some healthy numbers. They pulled in over 2 million impressions and a sizeable increase in conversions. The campaign has also led to a massive 400% rise in sales across their own website and on healthxcel’s Amazon shop as people could see from comments on the posts showing that they could buy xcelblends blends via Amazon.


Thanks to their TikTok campaign, business is thriving more than ever for healthxcel. Reach has gone through the roof; their following has grown, and their ads are converting to sales.


Crucially though they’re pursuing their brand mission and helping educate and change millions of people's lives.


They’ve also been able to figure out which campaigns work well, and which give them the highest ROAS. These insights then go back into the campaign, further optimising the process.
