The objective

Farmaciasdirect was founded by pharmacist Antonio Campos Garrido, who recognised the opportunity to offer a wide range of products to a larger online audience. In 2015, he launched Farmaciasdirect, becoming the first online pharmacy in Andalusia authorised to sell pharmaceutical specialties (EFP).


Farmaciasdirect is an online pharmacy and para pharmacy that provides medicinal, beauty, and healthcare products. With over 35,000 products available through their partner, Prestashop, they offer a convenient one-stop-shop experience.


The Farmaciasdirect team consists of professionals from diverse fields, all committed to delivering high-quality service. They have established strong relationships with partner laboratories and have a significant presence on social media, particularly among younger audiences.


Regardless of location, Farmaciasdirect ensures customers have easy access to healthcare products and expert advice. Their unwavering focus on customer satisfaction led to them being recognized as the Best E-commerce offering of 2022 in their industry.


One of the key drivers of their success is their impactful presence on social media platforms. Farmaciasdirect uses their TikTok profile to create and share organic, informative content offering beauty inspiration, and educating followers on health-related topics.


To further enhance their brand visibility, increase sales, and engage new customers, Farmaciasdirect partnered with agency Redegal to launch their first paid campaign on TikTok.



The solution

Optimising content to boost conversions

Since launching in December 2022, Farmaciasdirect has been running continuous TikTok campaigns with varying objectives, primarily focusing on driving traffic and conversions. To optimise their campaign performance, they have extensively tested different TikTok ad formats using the same creative content.


Through experimentation, Farmaciasdirect and their agency Redegal have discovered that Collection Ads and TikTok Shop, along with special formats such as countdown stickers which included discount codes and catalog integration, yield excellent results. In terms of targeting, their campaigns aim to reach a wide audience, specifically women aged 21 and above across Spain.


All of Farmaciasdirect's campaign creative content is developed in-house. Instead of solely showcasing their products or product galleries, they prioritise providing valuable assistance to their followers on topics like skincare. They achieve this by debunking myths, offering advice, and presenting information in a fun yet informative manner.



The results

Farmaciasdirect’s campaigns on TikTok have been achieving strong results across several KPIs, showing a 10.1% click through rate, 87.9% page view rate and decreases in their return on ad spend by 683% and their cost per acquisition by 87%.


The key to achieving these results from Farmaciasdirect’s perspective is TikTok’s ability to help them reach new audiences that isn’t on other social media channels, and having the ability to target specific audiences and reach the types of users they want to make an impact with.
