The Objective

NPP Box is a family-run business focused on producing and supplying cardboard boxes to factories. With the e-commerce boom in Thailand, the owners saw an opportunity to support SMBs in their packaging needs with beautifully-designed boxes that complemented a business' story and values. This prompted NPP Box to share its capabilities on TikTok to scale both brand discovery and sales from this new customer segment.


The Solution

NPP Box's colourful and vibrant videos on TikTok helped re-invent the very notion of a cardboard box manufacturer - from a non-essential item to a key aspect of any SMB's e-commerce and branding strategy.



From in-depth Q&As to step-by-step tips on how SMBs could elevate their own packaging, the brand leveraged TikTok's easy-to-use video editing tools to bring their videos to life. This included videos showcasing the team and the tight-knitted family behind the operations, their craft for nicely designed packages, and more.


By integrating trending music and challenges into NPP Box's videos and livestreams, the brand was also able to boost the content's reach and engagement amongst the larger community. Seeing its success, NPP Box ventured onto TikTok Shop to drive more direct paths to purchase amongst their newfound audience.



The Result

NPP Box's foray into TikTok surpassed all initial goals and targets set by its owners, proving the platform's effectiveness in helping businesses seize new market opportunities and expand to different customer segments.


In addition to generating over 113K followers, their videos also achieved a consistently high engagement rate of 2.13%, driving top-of-mind awareness amongst other SMBs starting their own e-commerce journeys.



With TikTok Shop, NPP Box was also able to consolidate product listings, content creation, purchase points, and delivery into a single app, with the company seeing over 143% growth in GMV during an ad campaign from October to December 2022. Notably, orders also increased by over 105% within the same period.


All in all, the results gained on TikTok have encouraged NPP Box to continue raising the bar in its marketing strategies, and the brand is now experimenting with new content formats on the app to keep its content fresh and engaging to the local community.
