The objective

Building an aspirational skincare brand on TikTok

When Genecia Alluora founded her lifestyle and skincare brand ALLUORA in February 2023, she knew she wanted to sell products that embodied "the four Fs": a fabulous life, freedom, financial independence, and a happy family. On TikTok, Genecia hoped to build a community of customers who trusted Alluora to provide results for their skin, and also drive sales for her business through TikTok Shop.


The solution

Creating a community and driving sales with Promote

To help build brand awareness, grow her business, and monetise, Genecia took advantage of multiple TikTok touchpoints. For example, she used an affiliate marketing strategy and partnered with other content creators to leverage their platforms and followings to get more eyes on her products. She also frequently used TikTok LIVE, sometimes streaming for up to 12 hours a day to showcase her products and build a relationship with current and potential customers. Genecia also tried Promote, TikTok's in-app advertising tool, using its e-commerce objectives to drive product purchases and LIVE objective to drive more viewers. Overall, Promote has had a significant impact for her business, converting viewers of ALLUORA content into paying customers. By investing in Promote, Genecia doesn't need to spend as much on offline advertising. Instead, she can focus on creating informative and entertaining videos to attract customers.



The results

1,000 TikTok customers...and growing

ALLUORA only started selling on TikTok Shop in February 2023, but within the first two months, the business had already driven six-digit figures in revenue (Singaporean dollars) and over 1,000 customers. Genecia never thought it would be possible to see such success on a social media platform, but TikTok proved otherwise: "TikTok has given us very good support to kickstart our brand's [ALLUORA's] journey." In particular, with the help of Promote, Genecia achieved over $19,000 GMV in sales, over 400 completed purchases, and over 48,000 LIVE viewers. Promote also led to over 130,000 video views, over 11,000 likes, and over 900 followers across her content. Genecia has no plans to stop: "As long as $1 of Promote increases the viewers or followers, we will continue to leverage the function."
