How to turn from Heel to Toe edge. Beginner turns. After the rider gets used to riding on both toe and heel edge separately, they can learn beginner turns: 1. Start traversing across the slope on the heel edge with slight pressure over the lead foot. Keep eyes looking at the same side as the board nose. 2. Then, start the turn by rotating the lead hip, knee and shoulder down the hill. With this rotation movements rider`s weight a little bit shifts over the front foot. 3. After edge changing move knees and hips slightly toward the nose. By this movements the rider`s weight returned equally on both legs 4. Flex your ankle (push toes) and feel shins pressed into tongues of the boots 5. Remember how your feet work. Watch reels called "Toe Edge Riding." . . . #snowboardcoach #snowboarding #snowboardtechnique #snowboardteacher #riding #winterseason #howtosnowboard #snowboardforbeginers #snowboardfornovice #snowboardtips #snowboardlife #shredthegnar #austria #snowboardseason #snowboardcommunity #snowboardtraining #learntosnowboard #ridewithcoach #snowboardcoachtips #mountainlife #snowboardworld #rideeverything #snowboardstyle #techniqueanalysis #snowboardanalysis

Struggling to stand up after strapping in⁉️ This really does come down to your ability to put your head over your toes in a seated position!! Run through these exercises and see where you’re at🤙 And always remember that strapping in while standing up is superior imo ;) Now go get after it so your skier friends don’t leave you 😅 #snowboarding #snowboardtraining #snowboardtips #snowboardseason #mobility #strength
A reel under which everyone messes up in the comments 😀 I want to make it clear right away - this is ONE OF the elements of riding technique that an expert rider should master. Beginner riders need to understand how a snowboard works and the relationship between feet and the board. This does NOT mean that this is the element from which rider starts learn how to ride. ♻️☝The board has a torsional flex 🖲Push the front toe to direct the board. ✅By this way you create pressure in the front part of the toe edge and then distribute pressure over the whole edge what leads to sliding. ✅Notice, how the body position is changing. Try turning only by pushing one by one toes and heels: Front toe ➡️ back toe Front heel ➡️ back heel Feet are closer to the board than any other part of your body. This means that using your feet to manage the snowboard is the fastest way to control it, moreover it doesn't use as much energy as other techniques. Applying this small technique into your riding helps you to manage the snowboard more effectively and keep it under control. . . . #snowboardcoach #snowboarding #snowboardtechnique #snowboardteacher #riding #winterseason #howtosnowboard #austria #snowboardforadvanced #snowboardimprove #snowboardexpert #snowboardaddict #snowboardtips #snowboardlife #shredthegnar #snowboardseason #snowboardcommunity #snowboardtraining #learntosnowboard #ridewithcoach #snowboardcoachtips #mountainlife #snowboardworld #rideeverything #snowboardstyle

UPGRADE YOUR SNOWBOARDING!! Disclaimer: not a snowboard coach - but I learned this technique from other coaches and it transformed my riding! Carving is your first basic in snowboarding… Yet SO MANY people fall into the same bad habit that will hurt them in the future ❌ (I know I did and it led me into terrible progression and getting hurt) CARVING TECHNIQUE MATTERS‼️ So try this 1️⃣ push your weight forward. Many people get stuck in the back seat! Make sure your center of gravity is in the middle of your board! 2️⃣ Steer with your FRONT knee! It can be really easy ti swipe that back leg side to side but it will teach you to scrub speed and stay really twisted. Get in the habit now of pushing that front knee over your toe to engage your edge! 3️⃣ UNTWIST YOUR BODY!! So many people want to turn their whole body to look where they are going. This leading your board to want to follow your shoulders and makes it much easier to catch an edge! TURN YOUR HEAD - not your torso! Follow these 3 easy steps next time you’re at the mountain and watch how much easier it will be to stay balanced and progress your snowboarding 🤘🏂 #snowboarding #snowboardseason #snowboardinghabits #snowboardprogression #snowboardskills
