🐰Increase Your Athleticism 💪🏻 We've got something in store for you! Stay tuned for a daily workout subscription that'll take your sports performance to the next level! 🤫 Here's the workout: A1. Hex Bar - 4 sets of 4 reps at 75% of your 1 rep max. Retract your shoulder blades(picture holding a spoon in the middle of your back. Sit back( bring chest to the sky). Push through your heels. Also, try keeping a neutral spine. And squeeze your core. Rest for 2.5 minutes before moving on to A2. A2. Bulgarian Split Squat Squat Jump - 4 sets of 6 reps Each Leg. When you jump picture cycling your leg. Bring your heel to your hamstring and catch it at the bottom of the rep. Rest for 2.5 minutes, then repeat A1 and A2. B1. Dumbbell Squat Jumps - 3 sets of 6 reps. No need to go extremely heavy on this exercise. Push yourself though on the movement. Stick the landing at the bottom for a second. Rest for 90 seconds, then go into B2 B2. Assisted Pogos- 3 sets of 5 Reps. Grab high on the band and let it sling shot you when you jump. go about 30% assistance. Rest for 90 seconds, then repeat B1 and B2 C1. Treadmill Drives - 4 sets of 8 seconds. Drive your knees and go about 90-100% effort. This will help focus on the drive phase and will help you get out of the blocks. Rest for 90 seconds, then go to C2. C2. Patrick Step Up - 3 sets of 10 reps each leg.Use no box or a box that’s about 6 inches. Push through your heel right after you tap your other heel on the ground. Rest for 90 seconds, then repeat C1. Full Workout Breakdown ⬇️ If you made it through the intro congratulations because here is what’s going on behind the scenes. After our dynamic warm ⬆️ We start off with overcoming 1/4 squat ISO’s to hit max force output and prime our central nervous system to be strong and powerful. Then we go into our plyometrics that are going to have similar joint angles and patterns as the iso to improve power and jump performance. I like depth and repeat jumps do to the huge eccentric force you need to overcome before the concentric phase of the movement. In this week of our training phase we are shifting to more unilateral movements so that is why we are doing rear foot elevated variation as there is some stability from the back leg but more emphasis on the lead leg. In our next phase we will get to some true unilateral work, but this is a nice progression. We use contrast sets with our lower body strength work to take advantage of post activation potentiation. Basically heavy strength then plyo with minimal rest gets you better power output during plyo’s and power based movements. Then we just superset the upper body lifts with the antagonist muscles groups with the same movement patterns. Vertical push/ pull & horizontal push/ pull The Workout: 1/4 iso 3x5s Depth to broad 3x3 🔁 broads 3x3 RFE squat sets: 5/4/3/3 SL tuck jump 4x3 RFE RFL 3x5 OH Press sets 5/4/3/3 N.
