#CreativityForGood: Celebrating the spirit of Cannes Lions for a cause

Next week marks the 2021 edition of the Cannes Lions Awards, and in typical TikTok fashion, we're inspiring creativity and bringing joy from the South of France to the global stage.
Cannes Lions lives rent free in our heads - it’s the epicenter of creativity in the advertising world, highlighting the work of top-rated agencies and brands across the globe. Since TikToks didn’t quite fit into a specific category within the competition, we decided to give all creators the opportunity to make a positive impact while flexing their creative muscles.
Through the #CreativityForGood Hashtag Challenge, launching today, we're showcasing how our global community of creators and users drive social change and inspire action--whether it be supporting a favorite charity, volunteering, or performing random acts of kindness to brighten someone's day. As part of #CreativityForGood, we've also partnered with four international non-profit organizations that create good every day through their work.
#CreativityForGood gives creators from around the world a platform to use their creativity for positive impact, where we can come together to amplify the important work of non-profit organizations - and have a little fun while doing it!
Participants are invited to produce a TikTok-style campaign or advertisement for one of the four partnering non-profits, or another cause they are passionate about, and post it on TikTok using the global hashtag #CreativityForGood.
The goal of this challenge is to showcase artistry, expressiveness and individuality--much like Cannes Lions does each year--while allowing the TikTok community to participate and highlight their unique vision for giving back. We're asking participants to think outside of the box, and dream up new, fun, and unique ways to showcase the non-profit of their choosing.
We've partnered with four global non-profit organizations working to address a wide range of important issues, including education, humanitarian aid, wildlife conservation and diversity and inclusion. In addition to direct donations from TikTok, the #CreativityForGood showcase will highlight the following organizations:
Here at TikTok, anyone can be the main character. Beginning today, the #CreativityForGood challenge will launch globally through the Discovery page of the TikTok app, empowering creators from all walks of life to bring their true selves to our showcase.
