Flavorture was a strong 9/10! They’re the first Black-owned restaurant in DC’s Woodley Park neighborhood. Their concept is where flavor meets culture & I was very impressed overall! My favorites off the menu were the: charbroiled oysters (that cajun garlic butter 🤤), the vegan egg rolls (yum) & the rosemary honey butter cornbread (YES) I forgot to ask for some to go! The Mocktail was also fresh and delicious. Our waiter, his service was excellent! He was really friendly & attentive. Aesthetics were great. Bathroom was nice & clean. 😎 I did find the initial interaction with the hostess a bit odd. She also made sure to mention the 90min limit, but forgot the champagne so we had to ask. Food wise, the salmon was super dry. My lactose intolerance wouldn’t allow me to finish the 10 Cheese Mac- it was good, not great. The collard greens were flavorful, but they had a few bay leaves in there. I tried the peach cobbler bread pudding, but again, I played myself with the ice cream/couldn’t finish lol so you may need someone else’s opinion on it! Ultimately, I had a great experience & would 100% suggest you support. Perfect for a romantic date night spot, for a girls night out or to celebrate! #chloelynneats #dcRestaurants #blackowned #dcfoodiespots #dcdstenight #dc #flavorture #dmvfoodie #dmvrestaurants #girlsnightout #romanticrestaurant
