Next, I would also suggest doing both arms at the same time as opposed to going back and forth between each arm. This way you’re keeping more tension on the biceps and putting more stress on the muscles. Keep your chest up. Lean forward slightly. Dumbbell Bicep Curls - Stop ego curling (I’d be lying if I said I haven’t done it but I have) from my experience I’ve noticed more growth and less elbow pain reducing the weight and momentum. Focus on keeping the shoulder stabile the entire time as you curl. Bicep Curls Do’s & Don’ts ✅❌ ✅ DO start out with low weight and focus on perfecting your form until you become used to the weight. ✅ DO keep your core tight during the workout, as this will help you maintain balance and good posture. ❌ DON’T rush through the reps! The goal isn’t to be fast—it’s to work your biceps, so taking it slow and isolating your bicep is key. ❌ DON’T use weights that are too heavy for you. You should be able to lift them with some resistance, but nothing that tires you out after just a few curls. Once you’ve mastered your current weights, then you can scale up to something heavier. ❌ DON’T over-curl the dumbbell to the point that the weight taps your shoulder. Remember, no matter what exercise you’re doing slow & controlled is always better than fast & sloppy!
