It’s butterfly season in California 🦋 Every year Monarch Butterflies migrate here for winter to escape freezing weather. The 📍Pismo Beach Monarch Butterfly Grove is one of only five sites in the state that has counts of over 10,000 butterflies annually. Current Monarch Count there this month is 14,935 🦋🥰 The season is usually October to February, peak time is around Thanksgiving, so now is the best time to go! The grove is open from sunrise to sunset, access is free. Park along the road and walk on short trails. There are several telescopes installed to see the butterflies close up. 🎥 My videos are filmed with 300 mm zoom lens (@canonusa R5 + EF 70-300). I used 8k video and zoomed in it twice before posting. You’ll see similar views through the telescopes as well. Have you ever seen so many Monarchs at once? 🦋😍 Check out my California map for more wonders in our beautiful state. ✨ Lіnk in bіо ✨ . . . . . #pismobeach #slocounty #californiablogger #hiddencalifornia #explorecalifornia #westcoastblogger Butterfly Migration, California Monarch Sanctuaries, Coastal Butterfly Watching, Nature Reserves California, Wildlife Photography California, Pismo Beach Attractions, Ecotourism California, Monarch Butterfly Season
