Hidden gem for tonkatsu in Tokyo! Normally when you think of airport food you’d probably picture some dry sandwich that costs an arm and a leg… but not in Tokyo 😂 In terminal 3 at Haneda Airport they have a cute dining village where we found this restaurant that served AMAZING katsu 😍We got the pork katsu set and no joke it was the best Tonkatsu we had in Japan! Tag someone you’d try this with! 🍱 My favourite restaurant in Japan has to be Gyukatsu Motomura, serving deep fried beef cutlet that is cooked on your personalized stone grill. We went to the Akihabara location in Tokyo just before the dinner rush and lined up for 45 minutes. 1 cutlet set: $13USD 2 cutlets: $20USD The meal also comes with tea, rice, miso soup, shredded cabbage, potato salad, grated yam, and jelly. Cutlets are tender and delicious on its own but the sauces really bring out the umami flavors. Highly recommend checking out the restaurant! VIRAL GYUKATSU in Tokyo Gyukatsu is definitely having its moment right now in Japan, so of course we tried this famous spot! It’s called Gyukatsu Motomura and they have locations all over Tokyo 🇯🇵 Our verdict: This places SLAPS!
