Been working on this recipe for a few years now and hardly ever crave a TX Roadhouse roll. Still love ‘em BUT these take the cake! Recipe below: • THEM ROLLS 1/2 C warm water 1/2 C warm whole milk 2 Tbsp honey 2 Tbsp melted butter 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast 2 1/2 C AP flour 1 tsp salt • Instructions: -Mix water, milk, butter, and honey into a bowl (must be warm!) and stir in the yeast. Wait 5-10 mins (until bubbly) -Mix in a cup of flour and pour in the salt. Slowly mix in flour every 30 seconds until dough is sticky and transfer to a greased bowl. -Place dough into bowl and allow to proof for 1hr in a warm environment (I used my oven- set to 350°F and turned off after 5 mins) -After first proof, drop dough onto a flat surface, grab a kitchen scale and grease a cookie sheet. Portion out dough balls (2oz is ideal) and roll up. -Once rolls are situated, cover and allow to proof for 30 more mins. -Preheat oven to 400°F and bake rolls for 10-12 mins or until the tops are beautifully golden. -Glaze tops of rolls with 2 Tbsp of butter and let them rest for 5 mins. -ENFREAKINJOY! • Let me know if you have additional questions!! • #bread #recipe #delicious #rolls #foodie #baking #bakinglove #bakinglife #breadmaking
