👋! Today, we’ll guide you on loading film into the Canon AE-1, a classic SLR analog camera. The process is fairly standard for SLRs, so you can apply these steps to similar cameras as well. Open the Camera: Locate the rewind knob on the top-left. Lift it, and the back will pop open. Gently pull it if needed. Insert the Film: I'm using Kodak Ultramax 400. Notice the small protruding film tip? That's essential. Position the film in the left chamber with this tip pointing right. Engage the Film: Press the rewind knob down. Extend the film tip rightward and hook it into a slot on the take-up spool. (If your camera lacks these slots, directly wind the tip onto the spool.) Secure the Film: Rotate the take-up spool using the film advance lever. Do this a couple of times to ensure the film is properly engaged. Seal the Camera: Close the back, ensuring it clicks shut. Prepare to Shoot: Use the advance lever until the counter displays "1". This ensures you're set to capture on a fresh segment of film. #analogueamsterdam #fyp #filmphotography #analogphotography #35mm #filmisnotdead #loadingfilm #tutorial #analogvibes #analogueamsterdam
