@thrivebykai we recognize that self love does not come easy every single day, but regardless we work continuously to build ourselves up 🫶🏼 Here are three tips for bringing yourself up on BAD body image days: 1. Challenge my negative thoughts with neutral or more positive ones. Instead of “I hate my xyz” I challenge this with “I am ok with xyz” 2. Think about 1 thing you are grateful your body does for you. For ex, instead of “I wish my legs were more muscular”, challenge that thought with “my legs help me walk and explore the city” 3. Instead of standing in front of a mirror for minutes on end, challenge yourself to limiting “mirror time”. Ex: instead of examining every pimple on your face, challenge yourself with only 3 mins of “mirror time” a day. Yes, I would set an alarm for this!! I know some days are harder than others, believe I’ve been there, but reframing these negative thoughts and habits will pay dividends in the future 🫶🏼 Note that this is by no means professional advice, I highly suggest considering seeing a therapist if you feel like your body dysmorphia has a significant effect on your daily life and if you have the means. Therapy has helped me a ton in my own healing journey ❤️, Kaila #bodydysmorphia #selflove #selflovejourney #selflovetips #selflovequotes #bodyimage #bodyimagemovement
