🥦 Foods Better Eaten Raw 👉 Make no mistake, I am still cooking and enjoying all of these on a normal basis, BUT it’s helpful to know when I eat these raw what extra benefits I might get from these foods. 🥘 Keep in mind with any raw veggies, some people will have a harder time digesting them vs cooked, so it does come down to your body and your microbiome in terms of how well you can handle non-cooked veggies. 🥦 I tend to think cooked broccoli tastes much better, but when broccoli is raw the cancer fighting compound myrainase is stable. Heat can degrade it. 🧄 When you heat up garlic, some of the allicin can be destroyed which is the main benefical compound found in garlic. Eating this raw keeps the allicin fully intact! 🧅 Similair to garlic, cooking onions degrades some of the sulpher compounds naturally present in uncooked onions. 🫑 Red peppers are quite high in Vitamin C, but this can get lowered when you apply heat, so eating these as a snack raw will give you the highest amount of Vitamin C. #veggies #rawfood #healthyeating #healthyfood
