✨AHI TUNA POKE BOWLS✨ Making a real-deal poke bowl at home couldn’t be easier. I start with my mom’s classic shoyu poke recipe, which you can make with salmon or ahi tuna (my fave). Let it soak up a flavorful shoyu marinade, then pile it over warm rice. In Hawai’i, poke bowls are simple as that – but at my house we like to add on crunchy cucumber, creamy avocado, LOTS of furikake, & a little punchy wasabi mayo. Perfectly balanced flavor & just one bite will transport you straight to Hawai’i! 🌺🤙🏼 1 C Calrose rice, rinsed well 1 lb sashimi-grade ahi tuna, diced ¾-inch cubes ¼ large sweet onion, thinly sliced 3 green onions, thinly sliced 2-3 Tbsp shoyu or soy sauce 1 Tbsp toasted sesame oil 1 tsp Hawaiian sea salt 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds ¾ tsp crushed red pepper optional: ¼ C ogo or limu (2 Tbsp dried rehydrated in 2 ½ C lukewarm water) optional: 1 tsp finely chopped Inamona or macadamia nuts optional toppings: diced English cucumber, sliced avocado, furikake, wasabi mayo (⅓ C mayo + 1-2 tsp wasabi paste, to taste) Full printable recipe on PWWB — link in bio! https://playswellwithbutter.com/ahi-tuna-poke-bowls/ #hawaiianfood #pokebowls #ahitunapoke#ahitunapokeiktok #foodtok
