Ice climbing Matanuska glacier: you can’t go to this glacier without a guide so you can either hike it or ice climb it! Such an epic and unforgettable adventure ($250) 4. The Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center- they take injured/orphaned animals and you can see bears, bison, porcupines, eagles, and even wolves ($20 per person) 3. Helicopter ride & dog sledding tour: hands down the most epic thing we did, includes a 30 minute helicopter ride, meeting the dogs mushers, a 20 minute dog sled ride, and an epic helicopter ride back over glaciers ($576 each - pricey but really really worth it, my #1 rec) book on Viator in my bio 2. Try reindeer sausage at Gwennie’s Old Alaska restaurant: one of the best meals we had here, I love love loved their country fried steak (around $20 per person) 5.
