Tag someone you’d try this with! 🍱 My favourite restaurant in Japan has to be Gyukatsu Motomura, serving deep fried beef cutlet that is cooked on your personalized stone grill. We went to the Akihabara location in Tokyo just before the dinner rush and lined up for 45 minutes. 1 cutlet set: $13USD 2 cutlets: $20USD The meal also comes with tea, rice, miso soup, shredded cabbage, potato salad, grated yam, and jelly. Cutlets are tender and delicious on its own but the sauces really bring out the umami flavors. Highly recommend checking out the restaurant! I highly recommend making a reservation in advance if you want guranteed seating, I tried to walk in for one location and got turned away 😭 This location is in Shinjuku and I was able to secure a seat for this one after waiting for 45 minutes. Certain branches offer higher quality of meat, which means a higher price tag. Kyoto must visit restaurant✨ There’s always a massive queue outside this little restaurant in Gion, Japan. It’s usually a 1-2 hour wait but we arrived 30 minutes before opening and were first in line for dinner. Can confirm - great pork okonomiyaki - and only AUD $12! It was delicious and I can see why this place is always busy. It's a place where you take off your shoes and enjoy the tatami floor seating overlooking a river! I heard their vegan and vegetarian okonomiyaki options are great too! This little Japanese restaurant (@yoshida_sushi_ ) has 4.8🌟 on Google and I can see why 🥰🍣 They replaced another Japanese restaurant called Shima-ya Sushi which was also a neighborhood favourite 🥲 Few things to note: ✨ they use fresh wasabi which I loveeee ☺️💚 ✨ their omakase is only $48 and has 12 pcs of nigiri + a miso soup ✨it only has maybe 5-6 tables plus bar seat so make resos just in case ✨ everything was SUPER fresh and it’s comparable to Sushi Bar Kilala (except Tamago is still better at Kilala) This place is definitely a great addition to the neighbourhood! 👍 Big thanks to @nathan.g.lee for the recco + always fun to eat with @tasteofvancouver and @foodiegramca 🥰 #yoshidasushi #vancouverfoodie #omakase
