The western U.S. boasts the highest concentration of thermal springs, and it's rare to find East Coast locations where you can enjoy soaking. These Virginia hot springs are not only a natural wonder but also a historical treasure. The original octagonal stone basin, constructed in 1761, served as the first spa in America. After a $4 million rehabilitation, the bathhouses reopened on Saturday, December 17, 2022. Best #hiddengem in Virginia? The Omni Homestead resort in Hot Springs, Virginia has the cure to the ailments of modern day disconnection and isolation. This luxurious resort in the Allegheny mountains has been creating luxury and comfort for over 250 years and has even hosted 23 US presidents.
