This is a small pond anyone can create for their garden. I've always wanted a water feature in my garden, and a source of filtered water for my chickens. So, I decided why not do both in the same build! I found these whiskey barrel planters from the big box store, sealed up the holes with some waterproof pool tape, and got the solar powered pump from poposoap on Amazon. Now, instead of having stagnant water sitting inside of a rain barrel, the water is circulated through the pond, where it gets filtered naturally by the plants, and back. You don't have to be extra like me and hook your pond up to a rain barrel. You could do a simple setup where the pump circulates the water with various splashing features. Whatever you decided to do, I LOVED creating this project and I know it will bring in even more biodiversity to my homestead, provide an aesthetic focal point in my garden, and fresher water for my chickens. What do you think of our new pond!? . . . . #earthnailsandtails #pond #smallpond #gardenpond #DIY #poposoap #poposoapsolarwaterpump #poposoapsolarfountain
