The chefs are a couple of amazing ladies in the kitchen cooking the food like they would cook it at home, so delicious, so many amazing flavors. We got two platters: One Zagool special which is a platter with one spoon of each dish they serve here, it comes with beef and chicken and lots of sides. The other one is the Beyayenet platter which is their vegan platter, with different lentil dishes, bean powder sauce and vegetables and salad. Absolutely flavorful and delicious! Both dishes are served on injera which is a sour fermented flatbread with a spongy texture. Injera basically replaces the cutlery here, you will eat with your hands and use the bread to eat. Such a lovely experience. At the end we also got some Ethiopian coffee, which they serve with popcorn and some bukhoor on the side. This restaurant gives you such an authentic experience. It was recommended to us by an Somali friend last year and i am so glad I finally made it here, it definitely exceeded my expecations and I can't wait to come back soon! They use Ethiopian spices to create delicious Texas style bbq and pair it with Ethiopian classics.
