A rainy evening at Salt Wharf in Camden, Maine 🌧️ Not only was the food and harbor view incredible, but the service and attention to detail from the Salt Wharf Team was top notch. 36 Hours in Camden, Maine. One of the most charming coastal towns in Maine that is perfect for a weekend trip from Boston. 🗓️ Friday Afternoon. Head north and check in to either the Cmden Harbour Inn or 16 Bay View. We’ve stayed at both and each are lovely and have their own appeal. Take a walk along the harbor to check out the sailboats and the beautiful views closer to sunset. Make a dinner reservation at Long Grain , one of the most acclaimed restaurants in Maine. 🗓️ Saturday Set your alarm early and head to the Curtis Island Overlook to watch the sun rise over the Curtis Island Overlook and walk over to Laite Menorial Beach. Obviously coffee time. You have to get coffee at The Owl & Turtle Bookahop. After fueling up, had to Camden State Park and Mount Battie. Plenty of trails and the views from the top are incredible. Don’t worry, you can drive to the top of Mount Battie. After some hiking, time for lunch. Next lunch at Claws in Rockland for a lobster roll. Head back to Camden to walk around town. There’s some pretty churches and squares as well as plenty of shops. Before dinner take the sunset cruise on the Schooner Surprise. Grab dinner and a drink at one of the many waterfront spots. Before heading back to your hotel, get some ice cream from River Ducka Ice Cream , a cute shop over the river with great ice cream. 🗓️ Watch the sunrise over the harbor. When we stayed at the Camden Harbour Inn they had customized breakfast menus, which was a nice touch. Spend the morning at the Camden Amphitheater and Library, check out the Megunticook Waterfalls and grab a seat on a bench at the Harbor Park and soak in this beautiful town. Before leaving Camden, pick up some candy at Uncle Willy’s Candy Shoppe. On your way back to Boston take a drive along Russell Ave past Aldemere Farm.
