These are some of my favourite calligraphy supplies: 1. Oblique Pen Holder For beginners, I recommend the @luis.creations Moblique 2-in-1 pen holder, the light blue on the right. It is a fantastic price, comes in super cute colours and can be used as a straight or oblique pen. I also love the @tomsstudio Carrot Calligraphy Pen, pictured on the left. My current fave is the @dipnnib Ergonometric Oblique Pen Holder, pictured in the centre. 2. Nibs My favourites are the Nikko G and the Hunt 22b. For beginners I suggest trying the Nikko G. It is easy to control and doesn’t snag on a lot of papers. The Hunt 22b is amazing for Copperplate Calligraphy as it gives the best ink swells and thin hairlines. 3. Inks The Moon Palace Sumi Ink is my favourite black ink. The consistency is gorgeous and flows so well from the nib. The @danielsmithartistsmaterials Walnut Ink is also a favourite. I use this a lot to practice with as it is quite watery and is easy to clean. The Dr Ph Martin’s Bleedproof White is my favourite white ink. It can be tricky to get used to, the consistency generally needs to be thinned out, but once you get it right, the colour is 👌🏻 . #calligraphy #calligraphyhowto #calligraphytools #learncalligraphy #calligraphypenholder #calligraphyreel #calligraphyvideo #dailycalligraphy #calligraphycommunity #australiancalligraphy #australiancalligrapher
