ISS (In-School Suspension) would sometimes make us eat sack lunches instead of hot lunch. We would get these #cookies that came in white wrapping paper or in a sandwich bag. One day, I asked what it was, and they said, #buttercookies . I was scrolling not too long ago and saw a recipe that reminded me of the lunch lady's #butter #cookies , so here we are. #LunchLadyButtercookies for the win. - 2 sticks of butter (room temperature) - 1 cup of sugar - 2 cups of flour (add more if needed) - 1 to 2 tablespoons of vanilla extract - 1 to 2 teaspoons of butter extract - 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of salt In a bowl, mix butter and sugar until creamy. Add your extracts and salt, mix well. Now, add your flour a little at a time and mix well. Refrigerate for an hour or two, then scoop your cookies onto a cookie sheet. This should make 16 to 24 cookies. Bake in the oven at 350°F for 10 to 15 minutes or until the cookie is golden brown on top. I like mine crunchy, but enjoy these Lunch Lady Butter Cookies for the win. #fyp #viralvideo #foryou #nostalgia #baking #recipe
