How did I get my bonsai starter kit seeds to sprout?! I started this little project experiment in mid February, I was given the starter kit as a gift for Valentine’s Day! This one particular seed sprouted in the video is called “ Blue Jacaranda” • I used the peat moss soil it came with and mixed it with a bit of perlite to start. • I didn’t use the pots they came with, only because I prefer clear pots. I ended up using a 1 inch pot to germinate the seeds in. • I potted up the soil and put two seeds in per pot. I planted them about 1-2 cm below the soil. • Then I placed plastic wrap on top of each pot to create a “ humidity dome” • Keep the soil moist, but not soaking wet. • I kept my seedlings on top of a heating mat at night time and on a south facing window sill during the day. • Within about a month, I had sprouts popping up from all my seedlings. When their first leaf popped out, I removed the plastic wrap and let them do their own thing. • Now that they’re more established, I let their soil get about 75% dry then give them a good watering with nutrients. • I had about 60% germination success with these seedlings and overall I find these very easy to care for! #diybonsai #bonsaiseedling #bonsaiseeds #bluejacaranda #plantcollector #easyhouseplants #plantsofcanada #planttok #tropicalplants #houseplants #houseplantcollector #rareplantcollector #rareplants #plantsimported #importedplants #houseplantaddicts #plantjunkie #plantsoftiktok #plantparent #indoorjungle #indoorplants #plantmom #fyp #plants #plantlover #plantcare #planttips #plantcaretips #planthacks #easygrowing #indoorplanttricks #plantcommunity #variegatedplants #seedgermination #bonsai #bonsaitree #minibonsai
