We know every family and needs & tastes are different so here are some stats about our family and pros & cons of the resort so you can determine if our diamond is your coal & vice versa 😊 Our family: - Mom, Dad and two kids (ages 4 & 2 1/2) - Very high energy & adventurous kids - Enjoy spending time at the resorts & not in the parks all day every day - Value experience over convenience 1)Polynesian 👍 - Updated, renovated rooms (and new DVC tower underway!) - Rooms are very large (additional storage would be nice) - Many different types of rooms available (resort, water & theme park view, bungalows and club level) - Amazing splash pad & kids area - Large beach & lawn play area for kids to run & play - Magic Kingdom fireworks on the beach (can get crowded, so go down the beach!) - Boat to Magic Kingdom & Grand Floridian - 2 pools, one quiet pool & the lava pool - Food options: Ohana, Kona Cafe, Capt Cooks, and Aloha Isle are our favs - Beautiful lobby with the best smells - Relaxed, chill atmosphere either with luxury island vibes - Many places to relax & sit both indoor and outdoors 👎 - Because it’s a very popular resort, it can get busy here - Trader Sam’s is awesome but right next to quick service so can get a little loud & rowdy at night if you’re trying to grab a quick bite to eat (also have limited seating outdoors) - Cost: is one of the more expensive resorts Trust me, I really was hoping the Poly was overrated but it wasn’t for us. We love everything about it & the kids have the best time here. My son always says his favorite resort is “the tiki man hotel”. We truly feel like we can escape the business of the parks here and have a relaxing island getaway vacation here too. I can’t wait to experience the new tower soon! Charming elegance for small resort lovers. 5: Wilderness Lodge. A magnificent, rustic getaway that will have you forgetting you’re in Central Florida. 4: Coronado Springs Gran Destino Tower. Deluxe a moderate price. 3: Riviera. French Riviera elegance on the Skyliner Route. 2: The Grand Floridian. The definition of class and luxury right with access to the monorail. 1: The Polynesian Village Resort. The second resort built at Walt Disney World will always have my heart.
