The tea starts at $149pp which is pretty standard for a nicer afternoon tea in the city. Here’s my honest review of Afternoon tea at the Russian tea room. I’m a huge fan of tea and Russian food so I’ve been eyeing this place for a while. At first we were feeling super lucky they weren’t swamped when we found ourselves without plans for Christmas. However the $95/per person service was nothing short of disappointing. The finger sandwich course was fine- here we are pretending to have fun. and the dessert course wasn’t super inspiring either. The tea itself was lackluster. When I asked for more tea, they just gave me more hot water. It felt like we were paying to sit and enjoy the decor instead of the food. I’m willing to go again for a drink and caviar but it won’t be for a while.
