UK AVMS

Learn about TikTok’s role as a video sharing platform under the Audiovisual Media Services Directive in the UK and about our complaints process.
A. TikTok as a video sharing platform and the AVMS Directive
If you are resident in the United Kingdom, under our Terms of Service the TikTok service is provided by TikTok Information Technologies UK Limited, a company registered in England with its registered office at 6th Floor, One London Wall, London, EC2Y 5EB, United Kingdom. TikTok is a video-sharing platform (or “VSP”) under UK jurisdiction for purposes of the Audiovisual Media Services Directive (AVMSD) in the UK.
B. TikTok’s complaints process
TikTok operates a complaints process to allow individuals to raise issues about certain of TikTok’s safety measures under the AVMSD, which are designed to protect users from harmful content. See our Safety Centre for details of our approach to safety. Making a complaint about TikTok’s safety measures is different from reporting harmful content. For information on how to report content to TikTok, see “Reporting content to TikTok” below. TikTok takes complaints very seriously and we endeavour to handle them as efficiently as possible. Response times can vary depending on the volume of complaints and the complexity of the issues raised. Through our complaints webform below, we ask you to provide relevant details in relation to your complaint (those marked* are required). Your complaint will then be reviewed by our trained teams. You will be issued with a complaint reference and we will ask for your email contact details, so we can contact you in relation to your complaint.
