Koh Lipe is one of the best islands to visit if you are young and on a budget!✈️
All prices are in USD!
Accommodation: $8 to $12/night per person if you stay in a hostel
Food: There are plenty of options for 2$ to $3/meal! You can go even lower than this if you eat a lot of mango sticky rice like me😂
Activities: Swimming and enjoying the beaches is free! However, if you want to go on a snorkeling trip they are usually around $15 to $20 for a day trip. You can also take a short taxi boat ride for $3.
Transportation: You can walk everywhere on Koh Lipe as it is a small island. If you want to get a taxi (boat), it’s $3.
National park fee (for 5 days): $5.70 (200 baht)
Getting there: The easiest way to get to Koh Lipe is by ferry (~$30) from Langkawi, Malaysia. You can also get to Koh Lipe from a lot of places in Thailand although it is quite far from most other Thai islands. Obviously depending on where you are from getting there might be quite expensive which is why I highly recommend making Koh Lipe a part of a longer Southeast Asia trip to fit it in your travel budget!

I visited all of these in shoulder season in April & May and I highly recommend you do this if you want to travel this cheap✨
I traveled with my boyfriend (these are only my half of the expenses though) so we were able to stay in double rooms at hostels and apartments for $13-25/night with each of us paying half of that. Any flights we took were with Ryanair and Wizz Air and otherwise we moved around by buses and trains. We are out every now and then at CHEAP restaurants and also cooked a lot by ourselves!!

It’s possible. I started doing it when I was 16 and now I’m able to travel the world whenever I want with no fear of money at all.
If you want to do it yourself, find what you’re extremely passionate about and start studying how others who are passionate about that same thing are making money online. Through that you’ll develop your own ideas and be able to work towards making a living from that passion through your phone and computer!
