Lots to cram into this one… I’ll keep it to the important aspects (in my own humble opinion)
- Color: Leather conditioner will darken your leather. Just keep that in-mind. Maybe test it somewhere inconspicuous before going buck wild
- Polish: Really adds that extra layer of protection. Polish also usually darken leather. Best to go lighter if you’re afraid of darkening too much.
- Sandpaper: Try to avoid. I had a lot of peeling leather so I opted for 800 grit.
- Paper Towels: I read somewhere to wipe off saddle soap with paper towel. T’was not a good idea. I wanted all the soap out so I doused it. A damp sponge would also do.
- Goof Off: This was just an odd situation. It did get the paint off but also dried the leather. High recommend avoiding.
- Leather Paint: The label says it works on rubber, metal, cloth, and a whole slew of other materials. That is why I added it other non-leather places.
- Weiman: it’s actually pronounced “Why-man” but I like to pay homage to Jason Acuna and say “Wee Man”
