The Giving Tree was the first book I can remember reading. After reading it once, i fell in love with Shel Silverstein who inspired me to write poetry. For roughly 2 years i refused to read anyhting else but Shel Silverstein books, buying all the hard cover and special editon books.
And after reading it, i knew what it meant. I knew how you cant just keep giving to those who only take. Love goes both ways. And yet, i still decided to ignore the words that i have engraved into my heart.
These slides are my version, my experince in life and with love. (Sorry, i dont know if there actually is a part two.) I tried my best to mimic the drawing style which im pretty proud of how it came out. but Maybe if I had listened to the lesson of The Giving Tree i would have saved myself so much sorrow. But i was foolish, no, blinded by my love.
I dedicate these slides to my writing idol, Mr. Shel Silverstein, and to those who are in need if it.

As a little kid, i never really understood the meaning of this book. Was it just about a tree? or just about boy who grew up? I was unsure. As time went on in my life, i started to remember the book again, but i couldnt figure out the name, until recently.
