My Quilt Named “Queen of the Nile” is based from The Nefertiti Bust is a painted stucco-coated limestone bust of Nefertiti, the Great Royal Wife of Egyptian pharaoh Akhenaten. The work is believed to have been crafted in 1345 BCE by Thutmose because it was found in his workshop in Amarna, Egypt, which is now in Berlin’s Neues Museum. It is considered one of the most prolificly used public works of art. I believe its because we are drawn to archetypal images of women holding not only great beauty, but the ability to hold great power as well.
This pattern measures 50x50 inches, uses 17 fabric colors and consists only of straight line sewing. It is available in three forms: PDF Download, Printed Paper Pattern and as QUILT KIT and are available on my website: PRIDEANDJOYQUILTING.COM
