Make more plants by removing suckers. This Sansevieria sunburst has two pups that needs to live their own LECA life. It’s super easy to remove them from a LECAfied mother plant, no messy soil and the pup is ready for the Kratky self watering semi-hydroponics setup. Quick tips below.
✂️Cut between the roots. Snake plant suckers push out their own roots early on. This means they are ready and able to take nutrients, and can make their own food.
🪨Use courser LECA, they grip the stem and keeps your cutting stable. Especially for top heavy plants such us Sansevierias.
🚿Wash your LECA clay balls, no need to boil. Don’t be wasteful!
🛁Soak LECA in nutrient water. Minimum of 2 hrs, but overnight is better.
💦Fill cache pot with nutrient mix. Since this cutting has roots, you don’t need to submerge the stem in water.
