this isnt what i usually post but ive been seeing this project alot and thought i should spread awareness too.
The Willow Project is a 30 year plan from ConocoPhillips that is said to be one of the biggest oil extraction projects and it is targeting sensitive Alaskan ecosystems. The Willow Project plans on drilling into these ecosystems to use the petroleum stored there, harming the ecosystems serverely. It is said doing so could produce up to 180,000 barrels of oil a day and release 287 million metric tons of CO2 into the atmosphere over the next 30 years. Once this happens, climate change would be almost impossible to reverse.
