Background is finished and time to place the octopus! Collage Quilting 🐙❤️🐠 Pattern: #octopusgarden By: #laurieheinecollage I have never done it like this before- where I finished the background separately from the main attraction- the octopus! It worked well as I didn’t have to lift up legs to place the ocean background behind them. I did use Steam-a-Seam 2 behind some of the ocean blocks and did attach it to the foundation, Pattern Ease. When placing the octopus, I cut the legs and rearranged them how I thought they went best, so it does not follow the pattern exactly. I didn’t like how the 3 legs on the right all intertwined, so I made adjustments on that end and I love how it looks. I ironed it in place so it will not move. I have never done it like this before- where I finished the background separately from the main attraction- the octopus!
