Fuel for your leg day 😈 Here’s what you need to know: 1. You can use squat shoes on leg press to help get more range of motion, however, let’s be real. Most people aren’t bringing squats shoes to the gym. 2. You can do reverse banded hack squats to even out the resistance profile of the exercise. But again let’s be real, MOST people aren’t doing that & that’s not the focus of the video. 3. Sissy squats - WATCH MY SISSY SQUAT VIDEO - they take practice. It will show how you can progress them over time. They take practice. They are my favorite quad exercise. 4. Are there other great exercises for the quads? Yes, but these are all you would ever need. Barbell squats didn’t make the list? No. Although they’re a great exercise and obviously can help you grow your quads, they are not the best when compared to the leg press, hack squat, and pendulum squat. With squats, there are many potential outside factors that can cause your quads to not get the best stimulus for growth. For instance, maybe your low back gets tired before your quads do, and as a result, your form breaks down. Issues like this are not a concern with the exercises shown in this video. I am not saying “never do barbell squats”. I think it’s a great thing for every lifter to be proficient at them.
