Happy Pi day!
@blackstoneproducts Griddle Crew Pi day Pizza Challenge. My challenge was to make a “BLT” pizza.
First I started with a traditional Bacon Lettuce and Tomato than I got creative with it. My own personal spin on “BLT” is a Basil Lobster Truffle sauce Pizza Pi.
This pizza turned out even better than expected!
🍕 Homemade Pizzas are always better on a @blackstoneproducts Pizza oven! 🍕
Lobster:
I butterflied the lobster and seasoned with @oldbay_seasoning .
Set my griddle on high. Placed the lobster tails on a warming rack and basted with garlic butter than covered with a dome.
Truffle pizza sauce:
2 large Portobello mushroom caps
1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic
1 teaspoon mushroom base
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
2 cups whole milk ricotta
4 ounces Alfredo sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons white truffle oil.
Instructions
Place the Portobello mushrooms on a tray and coat the caps with the oil.
Sprinkle the garlic and mushroom base on the caps and place on a warming rack on your griddle. Set aside to cool.
Place the ricotta, bechemel and truffle oil in a blender.
When the Portobellos are cool, put in the blender with all the oil and garlic in the pan and blend till creamy.
Garnished my pizzas with Basil and sprinkled it with Blackstone Tutto Italiano.
Bacon Lettuce Tomato Pizza:
I cooked the sliced bacon on my Blackstone.

Mozzarella cheese
Tomatoes
Bacon
Lettuce
Sprinkled Blackstone Tutto Italiano seasoning.
