Come along with me as I hike through #ShadmoorStatePark in #Montauk . It’s the first thing I do in the mornings when I’m on the end. The views are unmatched; you feel completely at peace. There’s a #WorldWar2 bunker that rises above the bush (it’s pretty cool to see—you can walk to it as well as the others, but can’t go inside).
The trail is about a 15-minute walk from the center of town. The path takes you all the way down to #DitchPlains where you can watch the surfers do their thing. 🏄♂️🏄♀️
No matter how many times I’ve done this walk, I look forward to it every single time. There’s always something new to see, new people to say hello to, and new homes for me to dream about owning one day 🤞
If you decide to venture out soon, keep your eyes peeled due to one word: erosion. Follow the path. Do not try to walk on the narrow ledge. The bluffs don’t play around.
Also this goes without saying—check yourself for ticks after you’re done. So long as you don’t go off the open path, you should be fine.
