Obviously honey buns from the gas station aren’t my worth it food. But these maple cookies are.  Ingredients: • 2 sticks of butter at room temp  • 1 cup dark brown sugar  • 1/4 cup maple syrup  • 1 egg • 2 tsp vanilla  • 1/2 tsp almond extract  • 2 1/3 cup flour  • 1 tsp baking soda  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon  • 1/2 tsp sea salt  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate  • 1/2 cup nuts of choice (macadamia, pecan, etc.) Directions: 1. Melt and brown 1 1/2 sticks of butter over the stove (about 3-4 minutes). Reserve the other 1/2 stick. Once the butter is browned, pour it into a bowl and put it in the freezer to cool for 10-15 minutes  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat remaining 1/2 stick of butter with cooled brown butter and brown sugar until combined. Add maple syrup, egg, vanilla, and almond extra beating again until creamy. Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix. Then fold in chocolate and nuts.  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and roll your dough into 1-2in thick balls a couple inches apart on the baking sheet. Place in the fridge overnight or the freezer for 20 minutes to set.  4. If baking now, bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes.  5. While cookies are baking and chilling prepare cream cheese frosting. In a medium bowl beat together cream cheese and maple syrup until fluffy and combined.  6.
