#duet with @scarlet.foxes Want to know how to go viral on TikTok? There is so much involved when coming up with the best marketing strategy for your music artists page, but these social media tips can increase your reach, growth, and fan base retention. Let’s go in more depth here so you too can integrate viral techniques into your social media content: Tip 1: Disrupting the platform and stopping people from scrolling is the number one way to capture an audience on TikTok. Sometimes it feels silly and disingenuous to manufacture an interesting opening, but remember that your music has SO MUCH to offer and deserves to reach people. Utilizing this one technique will immediately increase your viewership. Tip 2: On-screen movement is one of the best ways to increase watch time by tricking the viewer’s brain to continue watching. When videos generate a high watch time percentage, they’re more likely to be sent to strangers on the app. High watch time percentage let’s the platform know there’s an audience for your content, and so it will favor it in the algorithm above other videos in the same niche. Tip 3: Integrating your “brand” — I.e. your perspective and aesthetic — into your content in subliminal, subconscious ways is a great way to attract and resonate with the proper audience. Remember: your social media content is a bridge to connect people to your music, and so your content should be a magnet for an audience that will LOVE your music. #indiemusicianlife #indiemusicmarketing #musicmarketing #socialmediatips #musicmarketingtips #tiktoktipsandtricks #indieartisttips How to go viral on TikTok. Replying to @aria.princesss When independently marketing your music, it’s essential to communicate a core value in everything you do — to create content from a central point of value that deeply resonates with and thus attracts an audience that will convert to streams and monthly listeners on Spotify.

As we are artists and art is subjective, the value people get from our music isn’t as cut and dry as a product with a definitive purpose.

Creating content that connects with your audience whether while promoting a song or not acts as a connective tissue that bonds your social media following to your streaming platforms. People will care more about you and what you have to say if it deeply relates to them.

To attract a consistent fanbase, we must do as much work as possible to imbue our content and music with as focused of a message as possible. Once it’s published, the consumer has the freedom to perceive the art as they will. If we create with intention and streamline a consistent message in all that we do, we are more likely to hit bullseye with this value and facilitate a reaction from the consumer we wish to receive.

Replying to @KING DIERRE 🧡🧡🧡 With limited resources you’re better off putting this effort/planning into post-release where there’s at least instant gratification for the strangers you wanna dangle this in front of. Otherwise there’s no incentive to stay tuned in. Teasing is not a good or bad thing, just manage your expectations. @Brynn.Marketing @Brynn.Marketing #indiemusicianlife #indiemusicmarketing #indieartisttips #independentmusicianproblems #tiktokformusicians #tiktokformusician #indieartisttiktok #musicmarketingtips #indieartiststruggle #musicmarketingtip #indiemusiciansoftiktok

Want to know how to get more monthly listeners on Spotify and grow a fanbase for your music? A Spotify following is something that takes time to build, and like all structures, we start by building a solid foundation. Use this content creation and music marketing hack to develop a truly aligned and authentic launching point.

⮕ The real music marketing tip here is that, in the center of all three circles, your secret to success can be found.

✨ You want to focus on the place where what you do (as a person and as an artist) overlaps with what you stand for (your personal and artistic values / principles) and with your identity of your ideal fan.

✨ Some things you resonate with and speak to might not resonate and speak to your ideal fan. And vice versa; a part of your ideal fan’s identity might not fully align with your perspective and actions.

✨ Ultimately, you want to target an ideal fan that best represents YOU and who YOU can serve through you music, and you want to focus on the place where you and that fan overlap.

✨ If you integrate those themes and messages into your content creation and your songwriting and music video concepts, you will create a 3-dimensional presence that speaks to and thus attracts the RIGHT fanbase.
