The Muslim students organization got all the right permits to build this mosque and are following all the rules and laws to build such a building, but the residents of the area complained. It all started when an elderly neighbor complained of “foreign food smell” coming from the mosque. The previous mosque site did not have a proper kitchen or ventilation system. To combat this, the Muslims decided to build a new mosque with donations. The complaints were then hijacked by opportunists and right-wing Christians and the Muslims are currently dealing with this to this day.
