I’ve tried hard the past few months to build the courage to look back at my old videos of when chemotherapy made me bald, let alone show them to people on social media. For me I felt like this was the dark side of chemotherapy and it was difficult for me to get by during this chemo phase.
I thought I’d share what I really looked like and this is it. My confidence was low, I didn’t like the way I looked and I became very depressed. I still smiled through all the pain I was feeling.
I didn’t stop praying, I didn’t stop believing and I kept on fighting. Never did I think I’d see this Ramadan again, around this time last year I was driving back and fourth to London, went through surgery and I wasn’t able to keep any of my fasts.
Alhamdulilah I’m grateful for the chance Allah has blessed me with to be able to participate in the holy month of Ramadan and gather as many blessings as I can. So make the most of your day everyday that you get to have in this world, because we may not even make it till tomorrow.

My sneaky little way of treating myself while also protecting my nails. I took my nails off for a few weeks and it was so painful and they kept splitting down the center. My nails are still strong and growing nice and long!!
