And the pack + baby weight was a total of 37kg! 💪💪
I’m pretty sure this was one of the nuttier missions I’ve done - just with the crazy amount of weight I was carrying! Mr 1 had only just started walking so only walked a total of 1 metre the whole trail 😆😆 needed to get carried the remaining 34.999km and obviously food for 4 days plus a day spare for an adult and two kids really adds up too! Not to mention all the spare cloth nappies incase we didn’t have success with EC and incase it rained and we couldn’t dry any out.
We had the amazing company of @ Shoshannah.nz (who also took the magical photos) and her 3yo 🙌
But for safety and ease of camp reasons we all had our own gear - so we each carried a tent, sleeping mats, sleeping bags, cooker, gas, etc and were fully self sufficient, but had a blast with the company ❤️
With trying to get food on quickly for hungry kids, sharing a cooker would have been hard, and the kids had fun together during the day but definitely needed their own space in seperate tents at the end of the day.
