Koh Lipe is one of the best islands to visit if you are young and on a budget!✈️
All prices are in USD!
Accommodation: $8 to $12/night per person if you stay in a hostel
Food: There are plenty of options for 2$ to $3/meal! You can go even lower than this if you eat a lot of mango sticky rice like me😂
Activities: Swimming and enjoying the beaches is free! However, if you want to go on a snorkeling trip they are usually around $15 to $20 for a day trip. You can also take a short taxi boat ride for $3.
Transportation: You can walk everywhere on Koh Lipe as it is a small island. If you want to get a taxi (boat), it’s $3.
National park fee (for 5 days): $5.70 (200 baht)
Getting there: The easiest way to get to Koh Lipe is by ferry (~$30) from Langkawi, Malaysia. You can also get to Koh Lipe from a lot of places in Thailand although it is quite far from most other Thai islands. Obviously depending on where you are from getting there might be quite expensive which is why I highly recommend making Koh Lipe a part of a longer Southeast Asia trip to fit it in your travel budget!
