Words cannot express the experience we had here in El Paso. The Lucchese Boot Company open their factory doors today and we got to witness the pride, passion and all the work that goes into a boot first hand. The history of Lucchese dates back to 1883 when they partnered with the Army Cavalry at Fort Sam Houston. The boots pass through 150 hands with the attention to detail every step of the way. Big Thank You to Juan Hernandez for the VIP treatment and helping us get our feet molded for lifetime orders. It was an honor to meet all the workers to include your father and Fidel Rodriguez.

The last time I posted about this shop, I had so many comments from people who didn’t understand the difference between the shoes from this branch of John Lobb, which are the original handmade versions, and the ones produced by Hermès since 1976, which is the Ready to Wear version - still very expensive, but not as expensive as these which start at about £6000 a pair. This is in St James’ Street and they are very welcoming - just walk in and you can talk to them about how they make the shoes if they have time. Their clients are legendary, even royalty, and it takes several months for shoes to be made, they retain the lasts, so you do not own them. #thelondonspy #davidharry #johnlobb #stjamesstreet #bootmaker #byroyalbrands ##visitlondon ##londonshopping ##footwear
