Your supermarket basil is always dying? 🌱💚
I call it « The Basil Trauma » and I used this ironic naming in my last two books, to picture that these kind of « fails » can make you think that you do not have a green thumb, as you can’t keep alive a healthy thriving plant.
BUT…This has nothing to do with you! This supermarket Basil is simply not designed to grow further, it has way too many plants for such a small pot, it is absolutely normal that it can’t grow more and enventually dies.
How to heal your Basil trauma?
🌱 Divide this basil into smaller groups & replant in several pots with fresh soil which will be loaded with nutrients. They will have more space to grow!
🌱 You can also simply cut a basil stem under a node, remove lower leaves & place in a cup of water. I change the water every day. It will develop new roots, replant it and you will have a new free plant.
How to take care of Basil?
🌱 Basil is a summer plant, it needs warm summer temperatures & lots of sun. Place it indoor near a sunny window. When summer temperatures are here, place your pot outdoor in a sunny spot.
