HAPPY ONE YEAR TO ROAD TO RECOVERY!!! One year ago today i went into a surgery with an 18 month recovery not knowing what it would bring… through the ups and downs I CHOSE to fight. To fight for my leg, my mobility, and my happiness….. this surgery has taught me how strong i am, and how capable i am… and for that I will FOREVER be thankful…. But to the surgeons who wanted to take the “easy route” or wanted to “give up” on my case…. Here i am. And here I am WITH my leg.

For my 2 year #amputation anniversary, I want to show that EVERYONE starts at the beginning.
Its easy to see me 2 years post amputation runiing around living life, but i was so heartbroken and so terrified of my #electiveamputation that they had to literally knock me out waiting for surgery.
This is not easy. No part of being an #electiveamputee is easy.
The decision to amputate is excruciating. The amputation is painful and depressing. The learning phase is grueling. But there is life on the other side if you dont give up. Dont compare your story to anyone else. And DONT give up!

Jax was shot on a Sunday and he was fighting for his life. He will have to go through 2 surgeries and possibly more with the condition he is in.
