After the plane landed #Emts
& #Paramedics
were called to escort her to a hospital (Blount (?)) she was wheelchair bound after suffering a stroke in 2019. Her wheelchair was left at the airport upon taking her by ambulance. She was released by that hospital that night & was treated for constipation. She immediately went to #fortsandersregionalmedicalcenter
where she was observed overnight & released. No where to go as her previous home was in a nursing home in Washington (her family has told me that she had flown here to live with an on-again-off-again boyfriend). I do know she had called her son as she was being arrested, he resides in Rhode Island. I'm not sure if he was aware that she had flown to Tennessee at this time. From the time they took her lifeless body into the cop car I hear her stop breathing at 9:12 a.m. The car footage is off by 6 hours 14:12 is 9:12 I don't know if this was altered in the original bodycam footage or an oversight at the Knoxville Police department. Countless times she told them she could not breathe, and many times she told them she needed a hospital but a nursing home, the previous hospital, Fort Sanders sanders hospital & the police all failed this woman. After she stopped breathing the police officer pulls over 8 mins later & FINALLY calls for medical assistance where she was taken BACK to the original hospital. She had a heart attack & CODED 4 separate times & was put on life-support and later died the following day. I believe she died in the back of that car. This could have been prevented. At this time no charges are going to be filed against the Officers & they remain on paid leave. #sgtbrandonwardlow
I believe needs to be fired for the disgusting actions he displayed toward this woman. #lisaedwards
