🤍Taylor swifts chai sugar cookies🤍 *makes 24 cookies Ingredients for the cookies: - 2 cups all purpose flour - 1/2 cup granulated sugar - 1/2 cup powdered sugar - 1 egg - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temp - 1/2 cup vegetable oil - 2 tsp vanilla extract - 1/2 tsp baking soda - 1/4 tsp salt - 1 chai tea bag Icing: - 1 cup powdered sugar - 1/4 tsp nutmeg - 1/4 tsp cinnamon - 3 Tbsp milk - 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (not in the original recipe but I added it!) Directions: 1. In a bowl, mix together the butter and vegetable oil until combined. 2. Mix in the sugar, powdered sugar, vanilla, and egg. Add in the flour, salt, baking soda, and cut open the chai tea bag and add it in. Mix until dough forms. 3. Let the dough chill in the fridge for 1 hour. 4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. 5. Remove dough from the fridge and scoop onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. You want them to be about 1-1.5 Tbsp in size. 6. Bake for 9min. (Cookies will Continue to bake once out of the oven so don’t over bake). Let cookies cool. 7. Make the icing by combining all the ingredients until smooth. 8. Drizzle icing onto the cooled cookies. Sprinkle sift some cinnamon on top of each cookie (optional) 9.
